The Garden

In a nook among trees his humble farm house rests. Beside it, a fair garden of toil and duty. On one side, his fruits and vegetables arranged in rows, enclosed in long planters. On the other side, abandoned to fate, grow lilies and roses, tangled in happy disorder as clover blossoms and white daisies spread like fallen snow. Sweet perfume fills the air, woven with a hum and buzz symphony as bees labor, chant, and visit open flowers and ripe blackberries, without a care in the world about the honey’s pedigree.
