Moment For Self

He paused. The oysters had slid across his tongue, down his throat, leaving the faint trace of mineral sea. The funk and sharp of the cheese had satisfied. A burst fig, split with syrupy flesh had matched the wine’s aroma and just-sweet touch. The scent of peeled tangerine lingered on his fingertips. And now, placed just-so, he awaited the warm rush of a cigarette.
