The traveler imagined the journey ahead. Eager, she smells fir trees, foliage, and the mystery of pathless woods. There are steep hills to climb and descend, an abyss to leave behind.

Her boots tied tight. Her sweater’s worn yet still offers warmth. The journey ahead beckons her. But letting go of the seat remains the hardest part.
